Acceptable Use Policy Agreements

We ask adults involved in the life of Corbets Tey School to sign an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which outlines how we expect them to behave when they are online, and/or using school networks, connections, internet connectivity and devices, cloud platforms and social media (both when on school site and outside of school).

Complaints

If you have any complaint about the special educational provision we make for your pupil please speak to the Headteacher or to a member of the governing body. If you speak to a governor s/he will, in the first instance, refer the matter to the Headteacher. The Headteacher will investigate and will contact you within 15 school days. If the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction the complainant will need to refer the matter to the governing body who may consider the complaint at a review meeting and will contact you with an outcome 20 school days from the date that the matter is referred to the Governing Body.  Please read our Complaints Policy for full procedures.

 

Annual Parent/Carer Feedback Survey

The school is always receptive to feedback and views of parents/carers and the survey is invaluable in understanding where the school is performing well and for identifying areas for development.

We analyse the data and work on any issues that are highlighted. We are always happy to talk about any concerns or suggestions that you have throughout the year. Thank you to all parents/carers who were able to complete these questionnaires.

We are pleased to report that 96% of respondents said that they agreed or strongly agreed that they would recommend the school to another parent and that they are happy with their child’s experience at the school.

96% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the school has a positive ethos.

  • 97% of parents and carers said that the school promotes worthwhile values and attitudes, that their child is cared for at the school and that the school treats their child fairly and with respect

94% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statements concerning their child’s positive experience of Teaching and Learning.

  • 99% of parents and carers said that the school expects and supports their child to work hard and do their best
  • 97% of parents and carers said that their child is taught well at the school and that they make good progress
  • 96% of parents and carers said that the school encourages their child to be more independent

88% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statements concerning the high quality of the school’s approach to Behaviour, Health and the offer of Extra Curricular Activities.

  • 96% of parents and carers said that the school ensures pupils are well behaved
  • 94% of parents and carers said that the school is good at recognising and rewarding their child’s achievements and that the school helps their child to have a healthy lifestyle
  • 93% of parents and carers said that there is mutual respect between school staff and children at the school and that there is a good range of activities including trips and visits

87% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the positive statements concerning communication at the school.

90% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statements that the school has good leadership and management.

If you have any concerns, issues, ideas or suggestions, we would always want to speak to you directly.  We welcome feedback and have an open door to parents and carers to tell us what works and where improvements may be needed.
