School Facilities
The school is fortunate to be able to provide an extensive and specialised range of resources and facilities to enhance the learning opportunities of our children. This has been made possible through the wonderful support of various generous benefactors. We are extremely grateful to all who support the work of the school.
Hydrotherapy Swimming Pool
The school has swimming facilities with two seperate pools, one hydrotherapy pool and a seperate larger swimming pool for more confident swimmers. This facility is used throughout the school for swimming lessons and additional swimming activities. This facility is also used by the community for people that require a specialist swimming environment.

Soft Play Room
The well equipped soft play room allows children to explore and investigate their physical capabilities in safe surroundings. The soft play equipment caters for all age ranges within the school. The equipment includes a song machine that will play a song requested by a child by use of a soft play mat. |

Sensory Room
A room for pupils to explore using all their senses. Switches allow pupils to control the environment creating light patterns around the room. The room is used for pupils with visual or sensory difficulties to work with few distractions, using lights and sounds to focus on and track. |

Food Technology Room
A popular room amongst the children is our food technology room. We encourage pupils to develop as many life skills as possible, particularly in key stage three and four.

Design and Technology Room
Pupils are encouraged to develop further practical, independence and life skills through working with wood, plastics and other materials and using ICT.

Art Room
As well as exploring a wide range of media, and producing some exciting and innovative art work, pupils are encouraged to make decisions concerning the ongoing exhibitions of work in the attached 'gallery'.

Library A quiet well stocked room. Pupils choose books to take home, or sit and share books with an adult, listening to stories suitable for all ages.

Hall
The hall area is a multifunction room used for P.E. using the balancing/climbing/swinging and soft play equipment. It is also used for the many plays that the children perform as well as for assemblies where the children proudly show their work to the rest of the school. |

ICT / Resources Room
This area has been developed to enable the school to deliver the requirements of the National Curriculum for ICT and cross curricular work using technology. The equipment includes a touch screen computer, an interactive whiteboard various networked computers with access to the Internet and a range of adaptions and software for all pupils to have easy use of the latest technology. |

Holly Class
Holly Class is a specialist class where staff apply an intensive Verbal Behaviour strategy to children who have the most severe communication difficulties in the school.
These rooms provide permanent, dedicated areas to carry out the Verbal Behaviour program. The class consists of two rooms, one for intensive one-to-one programs, and one for children to develop their language through natural environment teaching.

School Grounds
The school is fortunate to be surrounded by extremely green field areas.
Areas within the school grounds are sectioned off to provide play areas for:
- Reception class children including play equipment, soft surfacing and space for ball games and bikes;
- Primary age children including play/climbing equipment, soft surfacing and social seating and space for ball games;
- Secondary age children including seperate play/climbing equipment, soft surfacing and space for ball games;
- Sports field;
- Greenhouse to support community projects.

Mini Buses
The school is fortunate in having two mini buses to enable classes to use the wider community to support curriculum work.

Two Story Extension to provide Offices, Meeting Room and Resource Sharing Facilities.
This development has been facilitated by our recent achievement of obtaining Specialist Status for Communication and Interaction.
